Have you heard of the song, “All I want for Christmas is you”? This, in my mind, encapsulates what Christmas is all about. Apart from celebrating the birth of Christ, Christmas is also the time of spending quality time for loved ones, family and friends. It is during this celebration that people get the chance to be with their loved ones and share a sumptuous dinner (or two) during the festive period.
The traditional celebration of Christmas comes with a primary consideration of foods. It is a practice among people from all over the globe to gather around and share delectable meals prepared for the family. It is also at this time when gift-giving is done. It is common to be greetedwith the never outdated line, “Merry Christmas!” – Furthermore, it is often during Christmas season when reunions are held. This is the time of the year when relatives and family members get together after months of not seeing each other. There are also those who travel far to be present for the celebration.
The taste of Christmas might differ from country to country, but the most important thing of all is the time spent away from all the demands and hassles of work, a time spent especially for your loved ones and also not to forget a time spent in rekindling the true meaning and essence of the celebration.
